	Ciao e benvenuti alle pagine dedicate ai Guitar Maniacs!!!!.......quelli come me insomma.... Hi everyone and welcome to the pages dedicated to the Guitar Maniacs!!!........like me... Dopo aver usato chitarre Fender per anni ho iniziato a sentire il bisogno di qualcosa di più caldo (a causa del mio amore per lo Swing), e ho trovato nella mitica Gretsch 6120 la mia chitarra!!! Suona leggeremente più calda di una strato, ma senza essere scura quanto una Gibson. After years of playin' Fender guitars I need something "hottest" than a strat (cause my love for the Swing music), and I think that the Gretsch 6120 is My Guitar!!! She sounds just a little bit "hot" than a strat, but she's not "dark" as a Gibson. La Gretsch che uso per il 90% degli show (sia con gli Adel's che con la mia rockabilly band, i BluesBoppers) è un modello del 97 firmato da Duane Eddy alla quale ho apportato alcune piccole modifiche...... The Gretsch I use for the greatest part of the show (with the Adel's and with my rockabilly band, the BluesBoppers), is a 97 Duane Eddy signature I modified....


	Le modifiche effettuate sono le meccaniche Sperzel e il ponte Tune O-Matic Gibson, la chitarra monta corde D'Addario 0,10 - 0,46 ed è accordata in maniera strandard (anche se spesso uso scendere la sesta corda fino a D) The modification are the Sperzel Tuning Machine and the Gibson Tune O-Matic bridge, the guitar is fitted with D'Addario 0.10 - 0.46 strings, in standard tuning (but I usually drop the sixth string down to D)


	L'azione è molto bassa e i plettri che uso sono molto duri (dei Dunlop da 3mm di spessore, i Big Stubby) e li uso dalla parte rotonda per scivolare meglio sulle corde!!! The action is really low and the picks I use are very strong (Dunlop Big Stubby 3mm), used by the round side to sweep better on the strings!!! Un ruolo importante nel mio sound lo rivestono i pick up......uso da sempre i single coils, perchè suonano più naturali degli humbucking, e anche sulla Gretsch i pick ups montati sono dei single coils, i mitici Dynasonic!!! The pick ups have an important role in my sound.....I always used single coils cause they sound more natural than the humbuckers, and the pick ups on my Gretsch are single coils too, the famous Dynasonic!!! Ma la cosa più bella della Gretsch è sicuramente il vibrato Bigsby!!! Morbido e realistico!!! Non permette certo dei Dive Bombs ma quando si tratta di imitare le inflessioni della voce umana non ha rivali!!! Accanto alla coda del vibrato c'è uno Smocking Devil, dichiarazione d'amore verso la Kustom Kulture!!! But the beautiful thing on the Gretsch is the Bigsby vibrato!!! Smooth and realistic!!! You can't use it for Dive Bombs, of course, but when you want a voice-vibe it sounds GREAT!!! Near to the vibrato tail there's a Smocking Devil sticker, to declare my love for the Kustom Kulture!!!
