Ed eccoci alla seconda parte della sezione dedicata alla mia strumentazione. Un elemento che ritengo sia indispensabile nella strumentazione di ogni chitarrista è l'ampli rigorosamente VALVOLARE!!! Dopo averne avuti e provati tanti mi soddisfa pienamente il Peavey classic 50 con 4 coni da 10 pollici.

Welcome to the second part about my gear. I think that an absolutely necessary element in every guitar player's gear is a TUBE amp!!! After playin' a lot of different amps I found "my" amp in the Peavey Classic 50 with 4' speakers.

Lo uso solo sul canale pulito, settando gli alti a 8 e i bassi, i medi e il controllo di presence a 5. Il reverbero è a zero perchè per tutta la durata dello show tengo acceso il Dan-Echo della Danelectro, settato in modo da riprodurre l'effetto di uno slap back echo (cioè tre ripetizioni molto vicine tra di loro), mentre per i suoni distorti mi aiuto con dei Tube Screamer della Ibanez (uno solo con i BlueBoppers per rendere un pò più chrunch il suono e due con gli Adel's per avere un suono proprio distorto!)

I use only the clean channel, putting the treble knob on 8 and the bass, the middle and the presence at half. I don't use the reverb cause I switch on the Danelectro Dan-Echo during all the show, I use it for a slap-back echo effect (tre delays very close to the real note), for the distorted sound I use a pair of Ibanez Tube Screamer (only one with the BluesBoppers, for a chrunch sound, and two with the Adel's for a really distorted tone!!!)

L'altra chitarra che spesso mi accompagna dal vivo (per lo più con gli Adel's) è una stratocaster che io stesso ho assemblato con pezzi provenienti da varie chitarre. Il corpo viene da una riedizione del 1983 (una delle prime riedizioni in casa Fender), il manico è originale del '61, i pick up sono dei Seymour Duncan Antiquity e le meccaniche sono delle riproduzioni Fender.

The other axe I use live (usually with Adel's) is a stratocaster I built with parts coming from different guitars. The body comes from a 1983 riedition (one of the first Fender reproduction), the neck is an original '61 neck, the pickups are Seymour Duncan Antiquity and the Fender tuning machine.

Il suono è molto SRV, anche a causa delle corde che monto (Galli Voodoo Angel 0,11 - 0,50), accordata un tono sotto o in G-open per le parti slide (dalla corda bassa D-G-D-G-B-D).

This guitar sounds really SRV, probably cause the strings (Galli Voodoo Angel 0,11 - 0,50), tuned one tone behind the standard tuning or in G-open for the slide parts (from the low string D-G-D-G-B-D).
